After you sign up for WeaveGrid, you will be prompted to sign into your electric vehicle (EV) or electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) account to establish a connection between your vehicle and WeaveGrid. WeaveGrid then receives your vehicle data to provide you with WeaveGrid experience and your pilot program benefits. WeaveGrid will share relevant EV charging data with your utility and your EV or EVSE in order to facilitate participation and further improve WeaveGrid. This EV data includes information such as how much EV charging has occurred, when EV charging occurs, and whether EV charging occurred at home or away from home.
The WeaveGrid platform uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure communications with various external data sources, such as utilities and vehicles. WeaveGrid also uses AES-256 encryption for securing personal information (PI), personally identifiable information (PII), and data at rest, hosted in our own virtual private cloud (VPC). Additionally, our information security management program is aligned with industry best practices and highly regarded IT governance frameworks such as ISO:27001, SOC2, and NIST CSF. This means we uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data in the utmost regard. For more details see our Privacy Policy.
